Hi!

FF7 Blog Readdress and Rename

First thing is quick and easy. Seeing as I probably misjudged my ff7 blog by having my own opinion stated as fact in the title of the blog, i've renamed it! whyiloveff7.blogspot.com

(ive also added a new entry, for anyone who missed it, that actually talks about the game and not just my experience of it as was the first one.) I intend to make it so that its as much of an elaborate exploration and explanation into why I love it as I possibly can do. It's a bit of fun :) For what its worth, the point isn't trying to convince people that FF7 is good, the point is to actually celebrate a passion rather than trolling on other people. The internet can be a very negative place and rather than moan about it and talk about how to fix it i'd sooner fix it by just being positive. If you dont like FF7, thats totally cool and youre probably right - but i do! I'd like to celebrate something in the world I think is good. I'd encourage everyone to do the same about the thing they like.

Iceberg Letters

The second thing being that last week I decided to put One Last Chance on hold - again. Not like it hasnt been anyway as its been 8 months since I last posted an entry, but I'm officially postponing it now. Ive gone through 2 sketchbooks of planning and 100 pages of attempts to try and draw the next part and it's not going anywhere. It's passable but I really have no confidence. The amount that I draw is not reflected in the amount that I show to the public so I'm starting a new project for the next year to address that - called Iceberg Letters. The idea of it is that I do 52 short stories that practice my story telling skills and visualisation, one a week, and offer an exciting glimpse at a fuller story. Theres literally no limits (outside my own limitations) as to what I will try and take on. Expect a full spectrum of moods, tones, themes, and naratives! It's going to be FUN! (for me! and hopefully you guys will enjoy them too)

I'm not going to pretend I havent tried doing big projects before and they've gone nowhere. That's mainly because I've been aiming for a finished product that i'm not equipped to fulfill. Also, my mood changes all the time - sometimes i think pencil is the best thing ever, sometimes digital, sometimes oil paints, other times ink. So its very hard to stay consistent on a project. By doing bit size bits, I have the freedom to abide to my whims.

Gaming

I've gone absolutely gaming batshit. In the last 4 weeks i've aquired 60 games. No joke. Some of them the rarest games available. I've got a lot of holes in my gaming history, and a lot of my favourite games I previously didnt own any longer (now I do!). My N64, SNES and Dreamcast collection are not almost 100% complete. I'm v excited!

Thanks for reading, see you aboot

Iceberg letters sounds like an awesome little project. Everyone seems to be doing art based resolutions this year, and that is probably the most ambitious one Ive heard yet!
